AESUBdots Black & White Reference Targets — 3mm Reference Targets for Reliable 3D Scan Alignment
Structured-light Scanner Reference Targets
AESUBdots are high-contrast black & white reference targets for structured-light 3D scanners — a full roll of 6,000 dots at Ø 3 mm. They give a 3D scanner consistent, high-contrast reference points to stitch scans and lock alignment on large parts and multi-view captures. Coiled on a roll with a tear perforation, strong adhesive, and a perfect match for AESUB vanishing sprays. Genuine AESUB, Made in Germany. Full details →

Authentic AESUBdots reference targets — supplied and supported by Rev1 Technologies from Auburn Hills, Michigan. We run a metrology and scanning lab and can match the right dots and size to your scanner. Not a re-labeled substitute.

Reference Points Your Scanner Can Trust.
3D scanners and photogrammetry use fixed reference targets to align and stitch multiple captures into one accurate model. AESUBdots give a structured-light scanner clean, consistent, high-contrast points at Ø 3 mm — place them on and around the part, capture, and the software locks alignment.
Strong Adhesive, Clean Application.
Coiled on a roll with a tear perforation every 20–30 cm, AESUBdots peel off and stick down fast and flat — a strong adhesive holds them through a full scan session so your reference field stays put.
Built for Reliable Alignment.
Consistent dot size and spacing give your scanner clean, repeatable reference points to stitch scans and lock alignment — essential for large parts, multi-view captures and photogrammetry.
Pairs With AESUB Sprays.
Apply them over any vanishing AESUB coat for a complete scan-prep workflow — matte the surface, place your targets, capture, done.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
What are reference targets for?
They give a 3D scanner or photogrammetry system fixed points to align and stitch multiple captures into one accurate model. Place them on and around the part; the software uses them to lock alignment.
Which dots do I need — B&W or retro-reflective?
Black & white dots are for structured-light scanners; retro-reflective dots are for laser scanners. Within retro-reflective, permanent dots hold firm while easy-remove dots peel off cleanly. Not sure? Tell us your scanner and we’ll confirm.
What size — 3mm or 6mm?
Smaller 3 mm dots suit small, detailed parts and tight spacing; 6 mm dots are easier to place and read on larger parts and longer stand-off. This roll is Ø 3 mm.
How many are on a roll?
6,000 dots, coiled on a roll with a tear perforation every 20–30 cm so you can peel and place quickly.
Do they work with AESUB sprays?
Yes — they’re designed to apply over any vanishing AESUB coat, so you can matte the surface and set your reference field in one workflow.
Is this genuine AESUB?
Yes — genuine AESUB, Made in Germany, supplied and supported by Rev1 Technologies from Auburn Hills, Michigan, and held in US stock.
