19+19 Crossed Lines — Fast, Wide, Stable

The crossed-line pattern covers up to a 545 × 620 mm field of view per pass — wheels, body panels, castings, and furniture-scale parts digitize quickly with stable tracking on complex shapes. Drop to the 7 parallel lines when an edge, rib, or deep hole needs finer attention.

Black, Chrome, Carbon Fiber — No Spray Required

The blue laser excels exactly where entry scanners usually fail: dark plastics, matte metals, carbon fiber, and reflective trim scan reliably with no preparation spray. Marker-free feature alignment keeps setup time near zero; global markers remain available for low-feature parts. For the rare surface that still fights back, a vanishing spray like AESUB Blue finishes the job.

Buyer FAQ

EINSTAR Rockit — questions buyers ask before ordering.

Who is the Rockit designed for?
Product designers, automotive engineers, 3D artists, educators, and makers. Typical work spans automotive part capture, reverse engineering for 3D printing, AR/VR and digital-art content, healthcare and O&P, and scanning large outdoor objects — one scanner, two modes, every job.
Are markers required for scanning?
No. The Rockit supports marker-free laser scanning in both crossed and parallel line patterns using feature recognition. Marker-based alignment remains available for low-feature objects, and IR Rapid mode adds hybrid texture-plus-feature tracking for maximum flexibility.
How does wireless scanning work — do I need a hub?
No hub, no dongle. The Wi-Fi module is built into the scanner and connects directly to your PC with a stable real-time link. If interference ever occurs, the included USB Type-C cable is a plug-and-go fallback with the identical workflow.
What is the battery life?
Up to 3 hours per 5,500 mAh battery, and two batteries ship in the box along with an external charging dock — charge one while scanning on the other for effectively continuous capture. The packs also support 60W PD 3.0 fast charging.
Can the Rockit scan outdoors or in bright light?
Yes — this is one of its standout strengths. Laser HD mode operates in ambient light up to 110,000 Lux (full direct sunlight) and IR Rapid up to 70,000 Lux. Battery power and wireless operation mean no outlet is needed in the field.
Is the texture resolution truly 5 MP?
Yes. A dedicated 5 MP color camera feeds an advanced texture-mapping algorithm that preserves genuine 5 MP quality on the final 3D model — photorealistic color and sharp surface detail for AR/VR, archival, and design work.
What PC do I need for marker-free laser scanning?
For smooth marker-free laser work, 64 GB RAM is strongly recommended. General use: Windows 11 64-bit, NVIDIA RTX 3060 (6 GB+ VRAM), 13th Gen Intel i7 or equivalent, 32 GB DDR5, USB 3.0. Mac users need at minimum an M1 MacBook Pro with 16 GB RAM; M3 Max/Ultra with 24 GB+ is recommended.
What accessories and add-ons are available?
Additional 3 mm, 6 mm, and 12 mm marker sets, a metal tripod with gimbal for stationary workflows, the Accessories Pro Kit, AESUB Blue vanishing scanning spray, and EXModel scan-to-CAD software. Contact Rev1 for bundle pricing.
Can I finance the Rockit or pay in installments?
Yes. At $1,899 the Rockit qualifies for installment options at checkout, and Rev1 also works with multiple lending partners for business financing on scanner-plus-software configurations. The financing row above the Add to Cart button shows current terms.
What happens when I outgrow the Rockit?
Your skills and data carry forward. The Rockit shares the EXStar Hub platform with the EINSTAR 2, and Rev1 maps trade-up paths through EinScan and FreeScan into full metrology systems — same ecosystem, same export formats, no toolchain restart. Browse all entry-level 3D scanners to compare.
