Three Common Workflows
The pulsing-release film is rated for tens of thousands of layers, but production environments wear them out faster than the resin tank shell. When the film mounting on your existing tank is fatigued or the tank shell has resin-burn marks from prolonged use, this is the OEM replacement — same film mounting, same optical window, same fit.
Running a second tank lets you keep two resin chemistries staged at once — for instance, PAH270 high-temp parts in one tank and PAU20 tooling in another. No drain-clean-refill between jobs. Print, pop the tank out, swap the second one in, keep going. The biggest production-throughput gain a single accessory can deliver.
Shops running multiple Reflex 2 / Reflex 2 Pro printers keep at least one spare tank per resin chemistry to avoid downtime. If a tank gets damaged mid-job, the matched OEM spare slots in immediately and the print queue keeps moving.
This Tank Only Works
With the Pulsing Release Module 2
This tank has the pulsing-release film mounting, gas-line port, and tolerance set to operate with HeyGears’ UltraCraft Pulsing Release Module 2 ($799 at Rev1, including this same tank). The standard Reflex 2 Regular Resin Tank ($119) physically mounts in the same chamber but cannot accept the pulsing motion — the film mounting and geometry are different.
If you don’t already own the Pulsing Release Module 2, buy the full PRM 2 Kit instead — it includes one of these tanks at the bundle price ($799 vs $799 + $239 separately).

These resins have viscosity, toughness, or temperature characteristics that require the pulsing-release setup to print reliably on the Reflex 2 series. This tank + the PRM 2 module is the only path to running them:
Standard modeling resins (PAS10, PARP10, PAU10, PAU11) also run cleanly through this tank with the PRM 2 active — you don’t lose resin compatibility by switching to pulsing release.
The water-washable PAWW family is formulated for standard release operation. The pulsing motion interferes with how PAWW resins set against the film and produces print artifacts:

Reflex 2 Pulsing Release Resin Tank
Does this tank work without the Pulsing Release Module 2?
No. This tank is engineered to operate with the pulsing-release motion the PRM 2 generates. Without the module installed, the tank still mounts physically but the pulsing function does nothing — you’d be running a pulsing-rated tank in standard release mode, which adds no benefit and means you bought the wrong tank for your setup. If you don’t own the PRM 2 yet, the PRM 2 Kit ($799) includes this tank.
Is this the same tank that comes with the PRM 2 Kit?
Yes — identical SKU (HeyGears Material #23010300097). The PRM 2 Kit ships with one of these tanks; this listing is for buying the tank standalone as a spare or replacement. Cost-wise, the standalone tank is $239; bundling it inside the PRM 2 Kit is more economical if you don’t already own the module.
Will it fit my original Reflex or Reflex RS?
No. This tank is dimensioned for the Reflex 2 generation chamber. The original Reflex uses the Pulsing Release Resin Tank ($191) and the Reflex RS / RS Turbo uses the RS Pulsing Release Resin Tank ($239). The compatibility table above maps each printer family to the correct tank.
Can I run PAWW10 or PAWW20 (water-washable) resin in this tank?
No. The water-washable PAWW family is incompatible with pulsing-release operation — it doesn’t set against the pulsing film correctly and produces print artifacts. For water-washable workflows, use the standard Reflex 2 Regular Resin Tank ($119) with the standard release setup.
When should I replace the tank vs. just the film?
Replace just the film when you see surface artifacts that match the film position (cloudy areas, repeat marks at the same XY) but the tank shell, optical window, and gas port look clean. Replace the whole tank when the shell has resin-burn discoloration, the optical window has scratches inside the resin chamber, or the film mounting has slipped. Replacement film is $143 for a 2-pack.
