Low-warp, vacuum-sealed, supported by humans.
Rev1 ABS Pro is precision-extruded 1.75 mm filament engineered to print far easier than standard ABS — wound evenly and vacuum-sealed with desiccant, then stocked and supported from Auburn Hills, Michigan.

Real ABS performance, without the printing frustration.
Standard ABS is tough and heat-resistant, but it warps, cracks, and fights you the whole way. Rev1 ABS Pro is engineered to fix that: dramatically reduced warping, stronger layer adhesion, lower odor, and consistent, repeatable results — all while keeping the toughness, impact resistance, and ~95–100°C heat resistance you buy ABS for. It still prints best in an enclosure, but it is far more forgiving. ABS toughness, way less hassle — in premium matte black.

Even diameter and a clean wind for reliable, warp-free runs.
Round, consistent 1.75 mm filament feeds smoothly so long enclosed prints finish clean.
Every Rev1 ABS Pro spool is wound evenly and held to a tight diameter, so it feeds without under-extrusion across a full 1 kg run. Vacuum-sealed with desiccant to arrive dry — and the ABS Pro formulation keeps corners down and layers bonded far better than standard ABS.
Dramatically reduced warping and stronger layer adhesion — far more reliable than basic ABS.
Holds its shape in hot cars, enclosures, and near motors — far past where PLA and PETG soften.
Stiff and impact-resistant — the classic choice for functional, load-bearing parts.
Vapor-smooth with acetone for a glossy, sealed, injection-molded-looking surface.
Print settings for clean, crack-free ABS Pro.
ABS Pro prints like ABS but far more forgiving. A heated bed and enclosure are still recommended for the best results — but reduced warping and stronger layer adhesion mean far fewer failed corners and cracks than standard ABS.
Strong layer adhesion across the range; a standard 0.4 mm brass nozzle is all you need.
A hot bed keeps the first layer locked down — ABS Pro grips reliably with less lifting.
An enclosure still gives the best results, but ABS Pro is far more tolerant of drafts than basic ABS.
ABS Pro emits noticeably less odor than standard ABS; a ventilated space is still good practice.
Recommended slicer settings
A solid starting profile for Rev1 ABS Pro on an enclosed FDM printer. Tune cooling and chamber temperature for your machine.
| Setting | Recommended | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Nozzle temperature | 230–250 °C | Strong layer bonding with a standard 0.4 mm brass nozzle. |
| Bed temperature | 90–110 °C | ABS Pro grips reliably; glue stick on glass/PEI adds insurance. |
| Chamber / enclosure | Warm, draft-free | Recommended for best results, but ABS Pro is far more forgiving. |
| Print speed | 30–60 mm/s | Moderate speeds help interlayer strength. |
| Part cooling fan | 0–20 % | Keep cooling low — too much fan weakens layers. |
| Retraction | 1–5 mm | Direct drive: ~1–2 mm. Tune to control stringing. |
| Nozzle size | 0.4 mm + | Standard brass nozzle; larger adds strength on functional parts. |
| Drying | 65–80 °C · 4–6 h | Only if exposed to humidity; ABS Pro is less hygroscopic than PETG. |
| Post-processing | Acetone vapor | Optional vapor smoothing for a glossy, sealed surface. |
Functional parts that take heat and stress.
The workhorse behind functional, real-world parts.
ABS Pro keeps real ABS performance — high heat resistance, genuine impact toughness, machinability, and acetone vapor-smoothing — but prints far more reliably than standard ABS. One premium matte-black grade, on 1 kg spools, stocked in our US warehouse.

Mounting brackets that take heat and vibration.
High glass-transition temperature and real impact toughness for parts near heat and movement.
Functional mounting brackets and hardware that live under the hood or in the cabin — ABS Pro holds its shape and takes abuse where PLA would soften or crack, and prints without the warped corners standard ABS is known for.

Precise electronics enclosures with clean fits.
Rigid, durable boxes and cases for electronics and equipment.
ABS Pro is the ideal enclosure material — stiff walls, clean snap-fits, and enough toughness to survive drops and daily handling. Reduced warping means lids and ports line up run after run.

Precision jigs and fixtures that stay true.
Dimensionally stable tooling that stands up to repeated use.
Print the assembly jigs, fixtures, and locating aids your line needs — ABS Pro keeps its shape through heat, clamping, and repeated cycles, with the low-warp consistency that makes fixtures actually fit.

Acetone-smooth to a glossy, molded look.
Vapor-smoothing seals the surface and hides layer lines.
One of ABS's superpowers, kept in ABS Pro: an acetone vapor bath melts the outer layer to a smooth, glossy, injection-molded-style finish — ideal for enclosures and presentation parts in deep matte black.

Rugged tool bodies that shrug off knocks.
Impact-tough housings for power tools and handheld equipment.
Power-tool bodies and equipment housings that get dropped, clamped, and knocked around — ABS Pro delivers the toughness and heat tolerance for real service life, and prints cleanly enough to look the part.

Geartrains and moving assemblies that ship.
Tough enough for real-world, end-use mechanical parts.
Gears, geartrains, and functional mechanical assemblies — ABS Pro bridges prototyping and production with the rigidity and durability to go into service, minus the printing frustration of basic ABS. Ask us about case pricing.
ABS Pro vs. standard ABS vs. PLA.
ABS Pro gives you full ABS toughness and heat resistance with far easier, more reliable printing than standard ABS. It ships in a single premium black grade and still prints best in an enclosure. PLA is the easiest to print but soft and heat-sensitive.
| Rev1 ABS Pro | Standard ABS | PLA | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Heat resistance | High (~95–100 °C) | High (~100 °C) | Low (~55 °C) |
| Ease of printing | Much easier — forgiving | Difficult — finicky | Easiest |
| Warping | Low — reliable runs | High — lifts & cracks | Very low |
| Toughness | Rigid, impact-tough | Rigid, impact-tough | Brittle |
| Enclosure | Recommended | Required | Not needed |
| Colors | Black (single grade) | Many | Many |
General material guidance; exact performance depends on part geometry, print settings, and grade. For outdoor / UV use consider ASA; for maximum stiffness consider ABS-CF; for the easiest printing of all, PLA.

FAQ
Rev1 ABS Pro — Common Questions
Do I need an enclosure to print ABS Pro?
It’s recommended for the best results, but ABS Pro is far more forgiving than standard ABS. Its low-warp formulation and stronger layer adhesion resist the lifting and cracking basic ABS is known for. A heated bed at 90–110 °C still helps a lot, and an enclosure gives the most consistent results on large parts.
ABS Pro vs standard ABS vs PLA — which should I use?
Choose ABS Pro when you want real ABS toughness and heat resistance (~95–100 °C) with far less printing frustration — reduced warping, stronger adhesion, and lower odor than standard ABS. PLA is the easiest of all to print but soft and heat-sensitive. ABS Pro is the pick when the part has to perform and you want it to print reliably.
What color and size is available?
ABS Pro is a single premium grade in matte Black, on a 1 kg spool of 1.75 mm filament. One dialed-in, easy-printing grade — no color guesswork. Ask us about case quantities for shops and print farms.
How does ABS Pro reduce warping and cracking?
ABS Pro is formulated for lower warp and stronger layer adhesion, so corners stay down and layers stay bonded far better than standard ABS. For best results, run a 90–110 °C bed, keep part cooling low or off, and avoid direct drafts. It’s much more tolerant than basic ABS, but a warm chamber still helps large flat parts.
Is ABS Pro safe to print indoors?
ABS Pro emits noticeably less odor than standard ABS, but as with any ABS it’s good practice to print in a ventilated space or with an enclosure and filtration. Many users vent the enclosure outdoors or run a carbon/HEPA filter.
Can I smooth ABS Pro to a glossy finish?
Yes — ABS Pro is acetone vapor-smoothable, just like standard ABS. Controlled exposure to acetone vapor melts the outer surface slightly, leaving a glossy, sealed, injection-molded look on the matte-black finish.
How heat-resistant is ABS Pro?
ABS Pro holds its shape to roughly 95–100 °C (HDT ~98 °C), well past PLA and PETG — suitable for hot car interiors, enclosures, and near-motor parts. For higher sustained heat or outdoor/UV use, step up to ASA, PC, or PA (nylon); for maximum stiffness, ABS-CF.
Why choose ABS Pro over cheaper standard ABS?
ABS Pro keeps everything you buy ABS for — toughness, impact resistance, and heat resistance — while removing the frustration: dramatically reduced warping, stronger layer adhesion, lower odor, and consistent, repeatable results. Real ABS performance, far less printing hassle.
